One of our Advent 2009 projects was collecting items for the Sullivan Center
The Mission Club from Saint Thomas More Catholic School brings hope to Sr. Sullivan at The Sullivan Center in Southwest Atlanta. Canned goods, school, and office supplies were delivered this past December by a small group of STM students and teachers to her expanding urban educational facility. This effort is at the heart of Latoya Lindsay, a fifth grade teacher, who believes that action speaks louder than words. She was assisted by third grade teacher, Margaret Besci, sixth grade teacher, Peggy Saunders, and Mr. Terry Tucker. Ms. Lindsay is currently organizing more opportunities for students to actively participate in serving those in need. |
