Technology is a vital component in today’s learning environment and is necessary in preparing our students for real-world, future academic and work experience. We are committed to helping our students build the skills necessary for the future by providing a variety of hardware and software resources and by teaching them to analyze and evaluate the information they find on the internet to determine its value as a source.

Technology at Saint Thomas More Catholic School enables us to extend beyond the classroom. We provide 1:1 devices in K-8 where students use iPads and Chromebooks to enhance classroom instruction. In addition to the students’ devices, each classroom is outfitted with a ClearTouch Interactive Panel to maximize creative collaboration. All students have additional time to learn and practice technology skills during STREAM class.

Primary Grades

Pre-K4

As young children’s brains are developing, their growth, development, and learning are enhanced when they interact with the world around them. At Saint Thomas More, our Pre-K program uses play-based learning. We do not provide our preschoolers with a device so they can spend time learning, imagining, and playing to develop their social, emotional, and academic foundation.

Kindergarten – 1st grade

Students are provided with an iPad to use at school. The devices do not replace hands on learning. They are used solely as an extension of classroom instruction and activities.

Middle School (6th – 8th)

Students in Middle School are issued a Chromebook for use at school and at home. These students take the Chromebook home each day. They use Google Workspace for Education tools to collaborate and communicate with their teachers and peers.
