Introduction

You just lost a bundle of family members in a plane crash. They all left you a different inheritance with weird decimals. You have to find out how much they left you (combined) then round to the nearest hundred. Take the remainder and donate it to a worthy charity.

Task

Your job is to round your inheritances to the nearest hundred thousand and add up the remainders to five to charity.!

Process

  1. First you should spend some time mourning, but not too much. Remember you’re rich now, you don’t need family.
  2. Second you need to review your adding. So go to http://www.aaaknow.com/g5_38cx4.htm
  3. Now that you can add, you need to review how to round. To do this go to http://www.aaaknow.com/est41ex2.htm
  4. Now go to and find out your inheritances
  5. Take each inheritance and round it down to the nearest hundred thousand. Use this worksheet to record your answers. Use the worksheet to also record the amount of money left after you round down to the nearest hundred thousand.
  6. After you’ve done that take the remainders and add them together.
  7. Then go to one of these sites or the site of another charity: Salvation Army, United Negro College Fund, or The American Red Cross
  8. Choose one to donate your money to (not really though)
  9. Take the rest of your inheritance and go wild!!!!!
