Saint Thomas More

A Catholic School in the Jesuit Tradition

National Blue Ribbon School 2016

Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Saint Thomas More Catholic School!

Originally opened in 1950 and staffed by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, STM has continued to grow and flourish over the last 73 years. We cherish our school families, and it is not uncommon to meet the children and grandchildren of our alumni who are now students at STM.

When the parish became a work of the Society of Jesus in 2016, we became the only Archdiocesan elementary/middle school in Atlanta to be affiliated with the Jesuits. As a school in the Jesuit tradition, we are committed to educating the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Our Catholic identity is important to us, and our students lead weekly mass, rosaries, advent services, and many other religious activities. You are always welcome to join us!

Being named a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School for overall academic excellence reflects our commitment to provide an exceptional setting for teaching, learning, and service to others. Our standardized test scores show our students to be well above the national average and we have support in place to help every student become successful.

At STM, you will find well-educated and enthusiastic teachers, students that are engaged in their learning, up-to-date technology, a welcoming staff, and genuinely supportive parents. We encourage you to visit our school to experience this special community where our mission is to be a joyful learning community reaching out to the world as the hands of Christ.

On behalf of all of us at STM, I invite you to consider us for the education of your children. We are just what you’ve been looking for!

God bless,
Mrs. Shaun Bland
