Science

Beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through 8th grade, students at Saint Thomas More Catholic School receive a quality science education, based on Archdiocesan standards, rich in content and practice, aligned with national curricula, and solid in pedagogy utilizing lectures, labs, and cooperative learning.

Our elementary students engage in observing and understanding how the world works around them through TCI’s Bring Science Alive! program.

In middle school, students utilize Explore Learning’s Gizmos, an inquiry-based approach to learning, in an effective way to build a conceptual understanding of science. Students progress through the basics of Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Students at Saint Thomas More Catholic School participate in a multitude of STREAM activities integrating Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math. Our goal is to instill in our students an authentic love for science and to teach them the knowledge and skills required to solve tough problems, gather and evaluate evidence, and make sense of information in the world surrounding them. We strive to prepare our students for an ever-changing world of possibilities.
