Volunteers provide tremendous support at Saint Thomas More School. Saint Thomas More School students and teachers benefit daily from the contributions of the hundreds of parents, grandparents, and friends who give so generously of their time and immense talent during the school year.
Regular volunteers must attend an orientation that is conducted by the School Counselor in early September. A Volunteer Application should be completed as well, so that background screenings can be run through the Archdiocese. This application is available in the School Office. Volunteers always work under the direction of STM personnel.
During re-registration, all parents complete a “Time & Talent Survey” to indicate ways they can help at STM. This information is used to match our school’s needs with volunteers. If you don’t have a child at STM, contact the School Office for volunteer opportunities.
As of July 1, 2012 , Georgia Law states that all employees, volunteers and clergy are mandatory reporters and are required to report any suspected child abuse or neglect.
