Welcome Tiger Family!

As I begin my second year as principal of STM, I do so with profound gratitude for the many blessings God has bestowed upon our Tiger family. Each day, I am reminded that Saint Thomas More (STM) is far more than a school. It is a joyful learning community reaching out to the world as the hands of Christ, a place where faith, learning, service, and relationships come together in extraordinary ways.

Over the past year, our school community has accomplished so much together. Guided by our Catholic faith and Jesuit tradition, we have deepened our commitment to helping every student encounter God in daily life. Through the Daily Examen, our Finding God in All Things formation efforts, school-wide service opportunities, and the continued growth of our Tiger Traits, we are helping students and adults alike recognize God's presence in every classroom, conversation, challenge, and success.

Our dedication to academic excellence continues to flourish. Through our Measuring What Matters protocol, instructional rounds, enhanced teacher collaboration structures, and the implementation of Professional Learning Communities focused on Mathematics, Literacy, and STREAM, our faculty is engaged in continuous growth and reflection. Using the Data Wise improvement process, teachers collaborate regularly to analyze student learning, share best practices, and strengthen instruction to ensure every child is challenged, supported, and known. These efforts have contributed to student achievement that continues to meet and exceed diocesan benchmarks in key academic areas. 

At the same time, we have strengthened the operational vitality of our school in meaningful ways. From implementing Centegix CrisisAlert and expanding safety partnerships with local first responders to achieving record fundraising success and embracing new sustainability initiatives through solar energy, we are committed to being faithful stewards of the resources entrusted to us. We also have expanded our volunteer programs, welcoming more parishioners, grandparents, and community members into the daily life of our school while increasing opportunities for parent involvement through lunch, recess, and campus support.

Our theme, "Tigers Take Action," continues to call us forward with purpose and hope. We cherish our veteran staff and welcome outstanding new staff members, expand Catechesis of the Good Shepherd into Kindergarten through Second Grade, strengthen our STEM/STREAM initiatives, and continue investing in the professional growth of our educators and the spiritual development of our entire community. We do so with confidence, knowing that our greatest strength remains our people, our students, families, faculty, staff, parishioners, volunteers, and alumni, who faithfully advance our mission through their words, actions, and witness.

As we look toward the future, I remain inspired by what makes STM special. We are a community that celebrates excellence while embracing compassion. We value innovation while remaining firmly rooted in faith. Most importantly, we believe that every child is created in the image and likeness of God and deserves every opportunity to grow in body, mind, and spirit.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for partnering with us in this important mission. It is a privilege to journey alongside you all along the way as we continue building a community where students discover their God-given gifts, develop a love of learning, and become servant leaders making a difference in this life and the life to come.

I am ecstatic for a year of faith, learning, service, and joy together, always, in all ways.
