We love our families!

STM families are welcomed into our community just as eagerly as our students.

Our families connect with each other and the school through their amazing volunteer contributions. Whether it's parents, grandparents, or friends, their time and talents enrich every aspect of STM, making it a truly special place for students to learn and grow.

Opportunities for Involvement

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Our PTO serves as the heartbeat of our community, bringing together faculty, staff, and parents to support the successful education of our students. • Rock N Run Helpers
  • Gardeners
  • Science Fair Judges

School Advisory Council (SAC)

In addition to our PTO, selected parents serve on our School Advisory Council (SAC), providing guidance and oversight to the principal in shaping the overall general direction of the school. While SAC focuses on strategic planning and financial stewardship, its ultimate goal is to support effective administration and the educational mission of STM.

  • to support effective administration, operation and maintenance of the school;
  • to provide a means of communication;
  • to review and discuss programs in light of the administrative vision for the school;
  • to develop and strengthen the financial functioning and viability of the school; and
  • to assist the administration in the implementation of the policies of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

The School Advisory Council does not make policy and has no role in hiring, evaluation, or termination/non-renewal of teachers and staff.

Volunteer Training

We prioritize the safety and well-being of our students by requiring all volunteers to complete VIRTUS Training and attend an orientation conducted at STM in August. This measure ensures everyone in our community is equipped to recognize and respond to any potential risks or concerns, in compliance with state laws and Archdiocesan policies.

For additional information regarding volunteer requirements, please contact Kim Kissell in the school office.

As of July 1, 2012, Georgia Law states that all employees, volunteers and clergy are mandatory reporters and are required to report any suspected child abuse or neglect.
